I understand they close because other financial institutions are not open, but there some services they could provide to the public.

They had been located in downtown since 1946 where their father Gust started the business. Lloyd and Lee have worked their entire lives at this dealership. They are now selling vehicles to grandchildren of their customers. This is one of the best dealerships to purchase new Ford as their overhead is low, but most of all they are very honest. When they tell you the price that is it, they do not try to revalue the trade-in, or add to the purchase price of the new car.

The old Cook Water Tower dismantled today
.
Tuesday, October 5, 2010, the Cook Water Tower was dismantled in a matter of hours, starting at about 0800 this morning. Men climbed the tower with acetylene torches to burn holes in the tank for the cable hooks to attach for lowering the metal. It was interesting to watch how they took the tank apart. After removing the top in one section they cut the tank in four sections. Then they quartered the base the same way. Apparently these men are not afraid of heights as the tank was over one hundred feet high.

The tank came down without problems as these men are professionals and remove such towers throughout the Nation.

The steel from the tank was cut up on the ground. The scrap was loaded into a roll-off container and hauled to Hibbing by David Udovich. David & Carol (Luecken) Udovich are enterprising business owners from Gheen who operate the Udovich Garbage Collection and Roll-off service, they also have a Timber Company with trucks and other logging equipment. His brother Dennis & Mimi own the Udovich Guide Service of Greaney.
