Press Release
Arrowhead Regional Arts Council has funded two projects in Cook
with their last round of Rural and Community Art Grants.
The Cook Chamber of Commerce received a grant to provide “Music in the Park”
at the Gazebo each Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Eric Pederson and friends.
The first concert will be June 6, 2012 and the last performance will be August 29.
Northwoods Friends of the Arts received a grant to bring the Roe Family Singers,
an award winning “Good-Time, Old-Time Hillbilly band”
for a performance at the Comet Theater on June 10, following the Timber Days Parade.
Both grants were made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant
from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council
thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
